The
State is blessed with suitable Agro climatic endowments, which
can support a number of horticultural crops having profitable
returns. NABARD and Horticulture & Soil Conservation
Department have identified horticultural potential area of
2,77,064 hectares. It is estimated that about 62,200 hectares
are covered by horticulture crops, which are of both seasonal
and perennial categories. An estimated area of 2,14,864 hectares
still remains untapped; providing ample opportunity for further
expansion and development.

Spices
(Onion, Garlic, Chilli, Ginger, Turmeric, Hatkora) |

and Plantation Crops (Litchi, Cashew nuts, Wall nuts,
Orange, Lemon, Banana, Pineapple, Passion fruit, Peach,
Pear, Plum). |
